The Oct 8th announcement by payments company Square to purchase 4,709
bitcoins for $50m boosted the bitcoin price and drew attention to corporates
as a source of demand for bitcoin. Square’s $50m investment means that
around 1% of its total assets is now invested in bitcoin. This is a strong vote
of confidence for the future of bitcoin and a signal that Square, which added
bitcoin trading to its Cash App in 2018, sees a lot of potential for bitcoin as
an asset.
 Admittedly Square’s bitcoin investment is smaller than the bitcoin
investment by MicroStrategy, a US tech company which, following two
purchases of $175mn purchase in September and $250mn in August,
boosted its bitcoin holdings to $425mn or half of its assets. So relative to
total assets, Square’s investment looks more modest. But Square’s $50m
purchase is likely the beginning. And in our opinion Square’s purchase
would also add pressure to other payments companies to follow in
facilitating client bitcoin investments or risk being left behind.

미국 전자결제기업 스퀘어가 10월 8일에 500억정도 비트코인을 샀다. 그때부터 시장에 강한 상승이 있었다. 500억 전도 투자는 전체 자산의 1%정도라고한다 (스퀘어의) 이것은 비트코인의 미래성에 대한 강한 확신이라고 한다. (내생각) 다른 전자결제 기업들도 분명 영향을 받게될것이다. 

마이크로스트레티지 미국 테크 기업이 9월에 2000억가까이 8월에는 2500억 이상 구매를 하며 비트코인을 상승시켰다. 액 4500억 정도 아마 전체 자산의 반정도를 홀딩하고 있다. 

스퀘어의 500억 매수는 아마 시작일거라 생각된다. (jp생각에) 다른 전자결제 기업들도 분명 영향을 받게될것이다.

생산자물가지수 21:30 발표 변동성에 영향을 줄지는 모르나 생각은 하고있는게 좋다.

3. 코멘트

정확하진 않지만 올해초부터 해외 대형 기업들이 비트코인에 큰관심을 가지고 있다. 한번씩 유명한 투자자 또는 기업의 대량 매수는 비트 시장의 강한 상승을 만들어낸다.
